Lightroom vs Capture One in 2025

Considering switching from Lightroom to Capture One. Mainly shoot portraits and weddings. Would love to hear from people who've used both, especially regarding color editing and tethering capabilities.

Made the switch last year. Capture One's color editing is more precise, and the tethering is much more stable. The learning curve is steep but worth it. Layer-based editing is a game-changer.

I use both. Capture One for tethered shooting and initial editing, Lightroom for final touches and client galleries. C1's tethering is definitely superior, but LR's ecosystem is hard to beat.
